Accounts Assistant, Pharmacy Medicines and Poisons Board


Main Duties

  1. Preparing weekly and monthly bank reconciliations for all PMPB bank accounts as well as cash deposits
  2. Timely reconciliation of third-party collecting agent accounts
  3. Filing and safekeeping of payment vouchers and and all petty cash documents
  4. Posting transactions in the ledger on dairy basis
  5. Assisting in preparation of accurate and timely donor reports
  6. Compiling payment vouchers and maintaining ledgers
  7. Maintaining creditors and debtors registers
  8. Reconciling deposit and revenue accounts and invoicing clients
  9. Maintaining payments and receipt books
  10. Reconciling salary accounts
  11. Preparing bank reconciliation statements
  12. Preparing cash control accounts
  13. Any other duties assigned from time to time


  • A minimum of Diploma in Accounting
  • A minimum of 3 years proven experience in a busy accounting office
  • High integrity and ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
  • Self motivated with ability to meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of Pastel accounting software will be an added advantage
